Our team

Jorge Gonzalez

Head Coach & JG Training Founder

JG Training was founded by Jorge Gonzalez, a highly experienced coach and former professional soccer player dedicated to developing athletes and unlocking their potential.

Jorge’s soccer journey began in London, England, where he honed his skills with Arsenal FC’s Advanced Program. His youth development continued with Greys Athletic and concluded with Haringey Borough FC. In 2010, Jorge brought his talent to the United States, playing collegiate soccer at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee.

After competing at the USL2 and NPSL levels, Jorge transitioned to coaching, beginning as an assistant coach at Reinhardt University. During this time, he gained invaluable experience coaching at the USL2 level during the summer, working with top-tier talent and refining his approach to player development.

In 2019, Jorge advanced into the professional game, joining Tormenta FC in USL1. At Tormenta, he played a pivotal role in developing players who went on to excel both abroad and in the USL Championship. His tenure with the club reached its pinnacle in 2022 when Tormenta FC secured the USL1 Championship, with Jorge contributing as part of the championship-winning coaching staff.

Currently, Jorge serves as a performance coach with Columbus Crew 2, continuing to elevate his expertise within the MLS and MLS Next leagues. His commitment to innovation and excellence in player development is at the heart of JG Training, where Jorge combines his rich experience and passion for the game to inspire and develop the next generation of soccer players.

Chloe Davis

Chloe Davies began her soccer journey in Newcastle, England, where her passion for the game was ignited. She later made the move to the United States to join Middle Georgia State University, where she had a successful four-year playing career while earning a degree in Health Services Administration.

During her collegiate career, Chloe also competed in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), playing for Dade County during the summer seasons.

Chloe brings valuable coaching experience to JG Training, having worked with players across various age groups, with a particular focus on developing younger athletes. Her expertise and dedication make her an integral part of our team as we continue to support the growth of the women’s game. We are fortunate to have someone with Chloe’s knowledge and experience on our staff.

Omofiwahan Abayomi

Statesboro Coach

Fifi developed his soccer career in Nigeria and further honed his skills during his time with the IH Manchester Academy in England, where his passion for the game was solidified.

Since transitioning to coaching, Fifi has made a significant impact on the local soccer community by dedicating his time to investing into the young talent. He has coached both boys’ and girls’ teams at William James Middle School during the 2024 season, fostering growth and development among youth players.

Fifi has also contributed to Tormenta FC's academy, serving as the assistant coach for the U19 team in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons. His dedication to developing the next generation of players and his connection to the game make him an invaluable asset to our coaching staff.

Annie Giles

Director of Creative & Social media

Annie serves as the Director of Creative and social media at JG Training. A lifelong soccer enthusiast, Annie played club soccer throughout her youth and continued her athletic career at Georgia Southern University club team, where she competed for four years while earning a degree in Multimedia Films and Production.

During her time at Georgia Southern, Annie honed her creative skills working in the university's Athletics Social Media Department, where she specialized in content creation and digital strategy. Since joining JG Training over a year ago, Annie has seamlessly blended her passion for soccer with her creative expertise, delivering engaging content that elevates the JG Training brand.
